Pediatrics Residency

About Our Program
Our program stresses both academics and clinical pediatrics. We are ACGME accredited and our program is competency based. We take 13 new catagorical residents and 1 transitional resident each year for a total of 40 residents in our program.

Program Information

The Children's Hospital is located in downtown Oklahoma City, and is the state's only full-service pediatric health care facility. The 194 bed facility averages 6,000 admissions, sees more than 50,000 children in outpatient clinics, and averages 25,000 visits to the Pediatric Emergency Department annually.

We have a 70 bed NICU that serves as a state wide referral center for extremely premature and critically ill newborn infants, as well as an 18 bed state of the art PICU.

The faculty in the Department of Pediatrics is a very diverse one, spanning 14 sections and approximately 124 physicians. Faculty members are committed to house staff education and are very approchable; the real strength of the program is in the people. For information about residency see our residency brochure located on the right hand side of this webpage.
