Important software support information:
Any software purchased with Department funds, may be installed
but may not be supported. All software packages interact
with the operating system (Windows 2000/XP) and thus can
affect existing software on the PC. Software that is determined
to be causing a conflict and was not authorized by the
Department IS will be removed from the system. Some of
the most common software we support is:
- Meditech
- Office 2000/2003
- eCopy
- Adobe Reader/Writer
- McAffee Anti-Virus
- CPRS
- IDX
- Reference Manager
- SPSS/SAS
- Neodata
Personal Software Notice
Personal software from home is not to be loaded on a Department
PC. There are very strict rules regarding "piracy"
and are now included in departmental audits. A license
for all software loaded on each individual PC is to be
available to any auditor upon request. All software purchased
through the Department or Section will have a copy of
the invoice to verify purchase and the number of licenses
provided with that purchase. Unless a software program
specifically states it allows multiple users, the program
can only be loaded on one (1) PC.
