More Information About Pediatrics Grand Rounds
The primary objective of Grand Rounds is to cover the needs of practicing pediatricians
and attending faculty. Pediatric Grand Rounds offers formal 45-minute lecture
presentations on a broad variety of current issues in the area of health care
for children. Through this media, Grand Rounds provide:
Community practitioners and attendings with information
needed to modify their health care practices, to include
general and specialized current up-to-date care for children
and their families.
Presentations on research issues in the area of general and specialized pediatrics,
so that faculty and community practitioners will have an understanding of significant
new issues in the area of pediatric research.
A forum for information exchange.
Opportunities to hear national speakers who devote a conference specifically
to community physicians.
Attendance is approximately 80-100 persons, including faculty and resident
physicians, medical students, nurses, allied health professionals, students
and community physicians. Our scheduling goal is to present balanced topics
covering general as well as specific pediatric health care.
Participants desiring Continuing Medical Education credit
are provided with an Evaluation Form to grade each presentation.
In addition, this form serves as proof of attendance. All
forms are tallied, results and comments are recorded and
the information is made available to the speaker. Recommendations
for future speakers and/or topics are also recorded from
these Evaluation Forms, which help determine future Grand
Rounds presentation topics and speakers. |
